Whole Earth is a recycling company based in Johannesburg that works with the under-privileged community to create a system that not only helps people to recycle, but also gives back to those in need. They wanted a fresh, new look and an eye-catching logo that would not only stand out from their competitors, but also represent what they stand for. Something that was professional, but at the same time showed off their fun and friendly side.  

We went through a few different options, exploring the possibilities of creating an eco-conscious brand with a unique quality. Colours were an important aspect, we went with a bold blue and green to contrast the often subdued colour palettes of other eco brands. In the end, we decided that the Earth is what it's all about, both in name and in purpose. It was important to keep it as a symbol in the brand but to use it in a subtle way. The final logo has a traditional 'stamp-like' look, which is modernized by the bold colours and the strong use of type.
